Shanghai

In Shanghai now, finally, after numerous delays to the project. My engine is getting warmed up as i type. Dad and Big K sent me to the airport on Sunday morning. Mum did not come as she needed to let out some of the frustration caused by the ex-maid by going to her regular Sunday Taichi class. Flight was full but pleasant and smooth. I caught 2 inflight movies, Music and Lyrics and Pursuit of Happyness. The first one was feel-good, and Hugh Grant once again entertained by reprising his usual charming bloke role, combined with his hip-gyrating 80s dance moves. Very inspired by Will Smith in the second show and was amazed how he managed to always look smart and immaculate in a suit while homeless. At the same time, I was subconsciously psyching myself up for the long trip ahead. This is the first long trip out for work after a 6-month break from incessant travelling. I can't believe i am actually looking forward to the trip, need to keep my mind busy!

Luckily the weather in Shanghai is good, nice and cool, unlike when we came in late June last year. It was hot and sticky then and my impression of that trip was not too good. Been here 3 days and have had 2 Japanese and a Sichuan meal. Hit the gym this evening, something i absolutely have to do. Originally the ambitious me intended to diet and lose some weight this trip but the way things are now, i will be glad if i can maintain. Ha ha!!

The teppenyaki meal we just had.
