Big Apple

I am still suffering from jet-lag even though this is the second day back in Singapore. I went to a resort in New Jersey for a seminar for 5 days and extended my stay in New York City for another 3 nights. Boy, am i glad that i made the decision to extend.

New York City is just as i remembered it, full of people, bright lights and energy. The last time i visited NYC was during my university days, about 10 years back. Wow that was indeed a long time ago. As our van approached NYC from New Jersey, we could feel the excitement building up. The 6 of us, all tired from the 4 long days at the seminar, suddenly "woke up" to the anticipation.

Tried to make full use of the 3 days i had there to experience, experience, experience. One particular morning, i woke up early with the plan to go for a jog at Central Park. That would be awesome, i thought, as i love jogging and had been wanting to visit Central Park. When i looked out of the window that morning, i saw grey skies, and it was drizzling... what a disappointment. I decided not to let the rain change my plans and went ahead. It was not that early, about 8am, when i jogged along a wet and quiet 5th ave towards Central Park. It was a most amazing experience.
