Melbourne

This must be the only trip where i almost did not do any shopping as there was no time! I was lucky enough to spend the first day in Melbourne with my auntie and two younger cousins and as my auntie showed me around her place and her neighbourhood, we managed to slip into some shops for a quick look. My only purchases for the whole trip - a belt, a pair of shoes and a blouse.

We stopped for a tea break and my cousins recommended this chocolate place. It was really crowded and the most popular item on the menu has got to be the churros dipped in your choice of liquid white, milk or dark chocolate. We ordered a sampler though, with churros, brownie, chocolate-covered pretzels, ice-cream and liquid milk chocolate, together with a mug of hot chocolate, and a mocha caramel coffee. Trust me, it was all rich and heavenly, but really sinful!!

Caught up with a friend whom i have not met for a long time at the Crown Entertainment Centre on the same evening, and by the time i went back to the apartment, i was so exhausted that i fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow! Following that Sunday, it was one full week of office-dinner-apartment and no more shopping.

Took a picture on the first day of work and caught the view from the office. It was a beautiful day and from the office i could see the Crown Casino and the Yarra river.

It had been good for me though, to be able to get out of the country for a short assignment, after these few months. Even though this may be the only overseas assignment for the year, i was still glad for the opportunity.
