I woke up and looked out of the window. The rooftops of buildings were covered in snow and the best thing was, it was snowing! We were very very excited!
It was our 3rd day in Beijing. We overheard a fellow Singaporean over breakfast: "We've been here the whole week, and it's finally snowing. The kids are so excited!" Ha ha we felt as excited as the kids.
We went ahead with our plan to visit Panjiayuan flea market to check out the art and wares. Some shops are housed in proper shop spaces, but most other stallowners set up their stalls in allocated slots in an open area with a shelter. It was snowing so heavily that the wares were covered by snow.
We went into a MacDonald's to seek shelter and warmth and ended up spending about 2 hours in there staring out of the window to enjoy the view. After a visit to 798, we ended our day by having dinner at my favourite peking duck restaurant.
