My friend L is currently casting for her short film. I was free over the weekend and went over to help out with "admin". 5 actors came for audition that day and i noticed one common trait - they were all late!
I had the opportunity to sit in the auditions and this being my first time, it was quite interesting. L would first rehearse the selected scenes with them, followed by "action" and she would record the scenes for further consideration. Some scenes were done repetitively until L was satisfied. There was one particular scene which required some special emotion from the actor that was done more than 10 times!
I learnt something new from a 16 year-old boy who came for the audition. YP = young people and guess what OP means? According to him, anyone over 25 is OP. Ha ha ha!
